11th Annual Postgraduate Nutrition Symposium
Protective Nutrients: Are They Here to Stay?PME logo

New research is emerging on many of the nutrients that are consumed on a daily basis in regards to health. In utero, through adulthood, and in the elderly, key nutrients can have an impact on development, brain function, immunity, digestion, metabolism, and prevention of disease. Scientists are learning more about the interactions that these nutrients have in the context of a total diet and the impact that these factors can have on metabolic function. A better understanding of nutrients that are having functional effects may be key to future recommendations for health.

A panel of world-renowned physicians and researchers will present new research on the emerging field of protective nutrients, including discussions on probiotics, prebiotics, and other cutting-edge nutrients.

Below are links to each of the presentations given at the 11th Annual Postgraduate Nutrition Symposium: Protective Nutrients: Are They Here to Stay? in Boston, MA on July 8-9, 2009. Each of the links will open the presentation in a new window. System Requirements: You will need Macromedia's Flash player to view these presentations.
